Notary Qualifications
To become or renew as an INDIANA Notary Public, you must:
Be at least 18 years of age
Be a citizen or permanent legal resident of the United States
Be a resident or primarily employed in the State of Indiana
Be able to read and write the English language
Possess an Indiana driver's license, Indiana non-driver ID or other acceptable form to prove IN residence or employment
Not have a conviction or civil ruling involving deceit, dishonesty or fraud and not have a conviction where the sentence imposed exceeded six months
